Scan UMBC Student Cards for your event.

Why Use This Application?

• It is scary to rent out a card scanner because they carry a costly replacement fee if lost.
• There are not enough card scanners to go around so you are not guaranteed to have them at your event.
• You can equip as many people as you need to with the Scanner app.
• If you share the Scanned ID's sheet with other users on Google Drive, you can all sync to the same document when using the Scanner app.
• If it is just for a GBM, sometimes its too much hassle to check out a card scanner.

When you press the Start Scanning button, this app will automatically check for a spreadsheet in the format of Today's Date + Scanned ID's. If a sheet like that has already been shared with you, or you have already used the application today, it will select that. If that is not the case for you, it will create a new document automatically.
